We are seeking an experienced Clinical Team Manager to join our team at York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Clinical Team Manager, you will be responsible for managing the clinical coding service and clinical coders, ensuring that all national and internal deadlines are met in a timely manner.
Main Responsibilities:- Manage the clinical coding service and clinical coders.
- Undertake long-term planning for the clinical coding service.
- Undertake clinician engagement to implement coding improvement which increases data quality.
- Undertake clinical coding audits, and/or deliver training.
- Holds the National Clinical Coding Qualification (NCCQ) with Accredited Clinical Coder status.
- Degree level education or equivalent experience.
- Managerial qualification or equivalent experience.
- Has completed the Clinical Coding Standards Refresher Course within the last 12 months.
- Is an NHS England Approved Trainer or Auditor.
- Ability to demonstrate our organisational values and behaviours.
- Able and willing to participate in and potentially deliver complex, intense training workshops.
- Can organise and prioritise own and team workload.
- Is able to use initiative on a daily basis to make operational decisions.
- Works under pressure to meet sometimes extremely challenging deadlines.
This is a permanent full-time position, with the option to work part-time or remotely. The salary is £37,338 to £44,962 a year (pro rata for part-time). The Disclosure and Barring Service Check will be required for this role.
