Reporting Structure:
Maintenance Manager

Work Schedule:
Continental shift pattern (4 on, 4 off) with 12-hour shifts, alternating between day (06:00-18:00) and night (18:00-6:00) shifts, averaging 42 hours per week.

As a Versatile Engineering Technician with an electrical focus (internally referred to as Shift Technician), your role will be to maintain and ensure the efficient operation of essential production machinery by leveraging your specialized engineering expertise. You will enhance plant reliability through proactive maintenance and electrical diagnostics, including troubleshooting and problem resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute tasks that require analytical skills and strong diagnostic capabilities to identify and address root cause issues.
  • Collaborate on site projects and change initiatives as necessary.
  • Mentor and support the Manufacturing Technician (MT) team to enhance their technical competencies.
  • Oversee contractor coordination and contract management, including issuing permits to work and reviewing risk assessments and method statements (RAMS).
  • Engage in activities such as Working at Height, Confined Spaces, and Hot Work, with relevant training provided by PepsiCo.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a recognized Engineering Apprenticeship with NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
  • Valid Electrical qualification (minimum 17th Edition) or Mechanical qualification, demonstrating strong Electro-Mechanical skills.
  • Proficient in computer applications.

Preferred Experience:

  • Familiarity with PLC systems, such as Allen Bradley and/or Siemens.
  • Knowledge of CMMS and SCADA systems and related applications (additional training will be provided by PepsiCo).
