A prominent player in the manufacturing sector is in search of a Finance Manager. The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with a background in manufacturing or a related field. This position will involve enhancing management information systems, overseeing management accounts, and guiding a small finance team. With significant investment in the organization, there are ample opportunities for career advancement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to comprehend their reporting needs and assist in establishing the management information framework.
- Analyze the current standard costing and management reporting framework to identify strengths and weaknesses, working closely with the business.
- Conduct root cause analysis to understand process control and define what constitutes effective performance.
- Implement weekly and monthly efficiency variance reporting along with price variance reporting.
- Manage working capital by establishing review processes and calculating key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Examine sales contracts to ensure proper revenue recognition.
- Prepare profit and loss statements.
- Handle monthly accruals and prepayments, including inventory management.
- Oversee intercompany accounting, including the generation of intercompany invoices and reconciliation.
- Prepare VAT returns and intrastat submissions.
- Engage in various ad hoc projects as required.
Candidate Profile:
- Qualified CIMA or ACCA professional.
- Experience in manufacturing or a similar industry is essential.
- Proficient in Excel with strong analytical skills.
