About the Role

Orbit Group is seeking a highly skilled Fire Safety Specialist to join our team in the South/South East region. As a key member of our Corporate Services team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and safety of our employees, customers, and partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Attend meetings and audits with Fire Safety Authorities to discuss and challenge outcomes.
  • Support group-wide assurance on CDM and Building Safety compliance, liaising with external agencies as needed.
  • Complete Fire Risk Assessments, FRA Audits, and other necessary audits.
  • Provide advice, guidance, and support on health and safety-related issues, primarily fire safety, and deliver training to staff as required.
  • Assist in reviewing and reporting on Health & Safety Compliance across the organization.
  • Liaise with internal customers and external agencies, attending Health & Safety Committees.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Qualified and competent to undertake Fire Risk Assessments and Inspections, with sound knowledge of Fire Safety Regulation, best practice, and industry standards.
  • Willingness and ability to travel.
  • Knowledge and understanding of current health and safety legislation, regulations, and codes of practice.
  • Experience in delivering and monitoring H&S activity across a multi-site organization.
