Electrical Supervisor Job Description

Reed Property & Construction is seeking a dedicated Electrical Supervisor to join our team at a Category A male prison. As part of the Facilities Maintenance Team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe operation of the facility, impacting every prisoner, employee, visitor, and the wider community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the safe operation of electrical systems and installations in the prison.
  • Manage and maintain electrical equipment and systems, including commercial and industrial electrical systems.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement measures to mitigate electrical hazards.
  • Develop and implement electrical maintenance plans to ensure compliance with BS7671 and other relevant regulations.
  • Collaborate with the Facilities Maintenance Team to ensure effective maintenance and repair of electrical systems.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications equivalent to C&G 2367 or 2357 (Electrical Installation) and NVQ level 3 in Electrical Installations.
  • Experience with commercial or industrial electrical systems.
  • Certificate in BS7671 - The Requirements for Electrical Installations, 17th or 18th edition.
  • Knowledge of risk and compliance, planning, and project management.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and people skills.
