Merchandising Specialist | Salary up to £32,000 | Fashion Retail Sector

WORKING DAYS: MONDAY TO FRIDAY (with occasional weekends for store setup adjustments)

Zachary Daniels Retail Recruitment is seeking a Merchandising Specialist for a growing fashion retail brand. This position involves overseeing key retail locations and concessions. Reporting directly to the retail leadership, you will provide support and training to all stores in your designated area, implementing seasonal merchandising strategies aligned with global standards.

The ideal candidate will possess a background in fashion management or substantial visual merchandising expertise. You will manage multiple concessions, and it is essential that you reside within the designated areas. Building strong relationships with stakeholders is crucial, as you will be responsible for enhancing sales performance and improving key performance indicators across all retail locations.

Experience in apparel or fashion is a prerequisite for this role. The brand seeks an individual who can demonstrate strategic thinking and has a proven track record of fostering a culture that encourages growth and inspires team members.

You will take ownership of your decisions and the impact they have on the business, embodying the principle of "Own it." This role is well-suited for an experienced retail manager or merchandising professional with a passion for inventory management, driving KPIs, and achieving results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist stores and team members in driving continuous improvement across all operational areas.
  • Identify and manage financial risks while ensuring effective cost/sales performance within the region.
  • Collaborate with the team to maintain product availability.
  • Recognize when stores require additional in-store support, prioritizing their needs to enhance assistance.
  • Exhibit strong visual skills with a focus on inventory management and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Influence upper management to ensure that central planning remains customer-focused, ensuring decisions benefit the entire retail network.
  • Engage with Store Management teams to share best practices, fostering proactive planning for long-term success.
  • Demonstrate the courage to make difficult decisions when necessary.
  • Consistently enhance the performance benchmarks of the region.

Note: Due to the extensive travel involved, a valid driving license and access to a personal vehicle are mandatory.

This position is ideal for a senior retail manager or merchandising specialist with experience in fashion management, capable of creating compelling visual displays and making critical decisions. A keen interest in current trends and fashion is essential, along with strong interpersonal skills and a passion for customer engagement.
