Electronics Engineer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electronics Engineer to join our team at People Source Consulting trading as Experis. As a key member of our product development team, you will be responsible for designing and developing electronic hardware and embedded software for our sensor and systems product solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Specifying design requirements for electronic hardware, including wireless and wired communication, data storage, power management, and integrating with analogue ultrasonic modules.
  • Diagnosing performance of PCBA designs and components, testing prototypes for correct functionality, compliance, and certification, and ensuring operational testing once in manufacture.
  • Debugging and customer-led modifications to software and capability.
  • Leading electronics design development within the scope of ATEX and IECEx explosive environment requirements.
  • Presenting progress and feedback from development activities to technical and commercial colleagues to support product development.
  • Supporting technical marketing activity and generating data to support presentations, case studies, and marketing communications.
Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of experience in designing digital circuits, including using embedded processors and FPGAs, digital signal processing, and filtering.
  • Programming of embedded software/firmware in a common language, such as C/C++.
  • Knowledge of instrumentation, sensors, and monitoring system products within the Oil & Gas, Energy, and Process Control sectors.
  • Experience of working under a quality management system, including documentation control, change, and configuration management.
  • Excellent project management skills and experience of successful project delivery.
  • Good communication skills to articulate aspects of electronics development to other engineering disciplines.
  • A degree or equivalent in Electronic Engineering or a related field.
