Position Overview

An experienced Lead Urban Planner is sought to join a dynamic team focused on enhancing community development initiatives.

Key Details:

  • Contract duration: 6-8 months
  • Flexible work arrangement: Hybrid model (2 days onsite per week)
  • Professional accreditation: MRTPI or equivalent required
  • Compensation: £40 per hour (Umbrella - Inside IR35)

Role Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the execution of the Local Plan, contributing to a collaborative and ambitious team.

  • Rapidly advancing the development of new policies
  • Assisting in the preparation of the Local Plan
  • Conducting comprehensive evidence gathering and analysis
  • Engaging in policy formulation
  • Delivering baseline data and in-depth analysis to guide decision-making
  • Participating in Planning Performance Agreements (PPAs) and allocations

Candidate Requirements:

  • MRTPI Qualified (or equivalent) with a focus on policy planning
  • Experience with Local Plan processes is preferred

Essential Tasks Include:

  • Conducting thorough evidence gathering and analysis.
  • Contributing to the preparation of the Local Plan, including:
    • Policy formulation
    • Providing baseline data and detailed analysis to inform strategic decisions
    • Opportunities to engage in PPAs and allocations
