Job Description

Job Title: Experienced Social Worker

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled social worker to join our team at Remedy Social Care. As a qualified social worker, you will be responsible for providing high-quality social care services to adults with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with adults who have complex or fluctuating needs and require intensive support to reduce and manage those risks.
  • Work in partnership with other professionals to ensure a multi-agency approach that enables adults and their carers to live independently.
  • Meet statutory requirements, including best practice in relation to the Care Act 2014, the Mental Capacity Act 2005, and the Mental Health Act 1983.
  • Apply relevant legislation, policy, procedures, and social work theory autonomously.
  • Support the professional and practice development of social care workers, newly qualified social workers, and level 2 social workers within teams.
  • Identify and support adults and carers who may be at risk of abuse or neglect using Making Safeguarding Personal and complete section 42 enquiries as directed.
  • Represent the Authority in court and attend as a witness or give evidence as required.
  • Represent the service, adults, and carers' views at meetings and exchange information, make decisions, and review progress.
  • Carry out meaningful conversations to determine eligibility under the Care Act.
  • Engage with adults and their carers using a strengths-based approach to identify available resources to meet their needs.
  • Build excellent and effective relationships with other agencies and the local community to sign-post when appropriate.
  • Develop creative support plans that focus on the outcomes of adults to promote their independence and ensure Care Act needs are met.

Requirements:

  • QSW Status, including qualification, Social Work England registration, and completed ASYE.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience.
  • Right to work in the UK.
