Manufacturing Manager

Omega Resource Group is seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Manager to join our team in Wolverhampton. As a key member of our assembly and test department, you will be responsible for managing a team of engineers and overseeing the production of complex hydraulic actuators.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Health and Safety: Cultivate a culture of safety within the team, ensuring adherence to corporate and legal standards.
  • Team Leadership: Build a high-performance culture by engaging directly with team members through visible leadership and frequent communication.
  • Training and Development: Lead the coaching and development of production staff, ensuring comprehensive training procedures are in place for all operations and personnel.
  • Operations Management: Oversee the tactical management of daily operations, focusing on productivity and efficiency to meet daily KPI targets with conforming products.
  • Cost Management: Manage cost center financials and implement cost-saving initiatives aligned with company objectives.
  • Continuous Improvement: Implement lean manufacturing practices and other relevant methods to improve on-time delivery, reduce lead times, and enhance product quality.
  • Communication: Ensure clear communication, coordination, and collaboration between production and other associated departments.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Engineering or Manufacturing Degree, or 5 years of relevant leadership experience.
  • Industry Experience: Leadership experience in manufacturing within the Aerospace, Automotive, or related industries.
  • Leadership Skills: Skilled in delegating and efficiently allocating responsibilities to manage projects from start to finish.
  • Continuous Improvement: Experience in leading Continuous Improvement and Change Management initiatives to enhance on-time delivery.
  • Team Leadership: Proven ability to lead teams and inspire others to achieve goals through innovation, quality, and excellence.
  • Quality Management: Knowledge and experience with quality management systems, including EASA and AS9100 accreditation.
