At DAS Law, a member of ARAG UK, we are experiencing a dynamic phase of expansion within our litigation divisions. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a dedicated and welcoming team of approximately 50 legal professionals within the Complex Litigation unit. We are currently looking for a Senior Associate to join our Professional Negligence team, where you will manage a balanced caseload of intermediate and multi-track professional negligence matters while also overseeing one or two team members.

About the Team

Led by Laura Loney, you will be part of a skilled and supportive team that specializes in intermediate and multi-track professional negligence claims, as well as related claims such as property misrepresentation. The team also handles broader commercial litigation cases as needed. The professional negligence team operates within the larger Complex Litigation unit, which is overseen by partner Will Ellerton.

Candidate Profile

Our team is driven by passion and enthusiasm for our work. We are committed to providing our members with early responsibilities, allowing you to manage cases from inception through to alternative dispute resolution or trial, while also supporting your colleagues.

We welcome applications from both Associates and Paralegals for this position. While prior experience in professional negligence from either a claimant or defendant standpoint is beneficial, it is not mandatory. The ideal candidate will possess case handling experience, a solid understanding of the Civil Procedure Rules, and familiarity with relevant pre-action protocols. Experience in resolving disputes through mediation and other alternative dispute resolution methods is advantageous. Additionally, while experience with property misrepresentation claims is helpful, training will be provided.
