About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Conveyancing Assistant to join our dynamic Residential Property team at Oculus Legal Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting our Fee Earners in handling a high volume of transactions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transaction Management: Review local searches against previous records, manage Help to Buy loan redemptions, and coordinate with lenders.
  • Client Communication: Communicate with clients, sales offices, and developer solicitors, escalating complex inquiries to Fee Earners.
  • Mortgage Verification: Verify mortgage offers, liaise with clients and lenders to address queries.
  • File Preparation: Follow up with clients for deposits and paperwork, preparing files for exchange.
  • Post-Completion Matters: Handle post-completion matters, including registrations.
  • Search Applications: Conduct search applications and close abortive files.
  • Quote Generation: Occasionally generate quotes and initiate files during peak periods.
  • Document Dispatch: Draft and dispatch documents to buyers' solicitors for sales.
Requirements
  • High Personal Standards: Demonstrate high personal standards of work.
  • Strong IT Skills: Possess strong IT skills.
  • Education: Hold a minimum of 5 GCSEs, including Maths and English.
  • Experience: Possess a minimum of 12 months previous experience within conveyancing.
