Centara Ltd, a leading surveying business, is seeking a skilled CAD Technician to join their Geospatial team. Based in Normanton, West Yorkshire, the successful candidate will work with prestigious clients across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide CAD support to the Geospatial team, utilizing expertise in CAD software to create detailed dimensional plans, elevations, sections, and survey drawings for various projects, including topographical and terrain surveys, measured buildings, underground utilities, earthworks, and volumetric survey analysis.
  • Utilize Point Cloud Data from Laser Scanning/Aerial Mapping to produce accurate survey data and drawings for clients or designers.
  • Ensure drawings comply with company policies and Gridmark QA procedures.
  • Liaise with other CAD/survey/design team members to achieve project goals.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of the civil engineering and construction industry.
  • Stay up-to-date with new surveying software and adapt to changing industry requirements.
  • Produce or amend drawings accurately and efficiently according to project specifications.
  • Support continuous improvement and ensure drawings are clear, consistent, and accurate.
  • Adhere to ISO 9001 quality standards and processes by saving drawings in the correct locations, with proper numbering, and following necessary company procedures.
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience in a related field, preferably in Geospatial, Land, Civil, Architectural, or Highways.
  • Drawing experience in Geospatial, Land, Civil, Architectural, or Highways.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, including MEP Autocad, n4ce, Civils 3D, and Revit.
  • Experience with applying CAD Standards/Quality Standards.
