Job Description:

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about making a positive impact on young lives. As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other professionals to provide individualized support and implement strategies that promote positive behaviour and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEMH needs.
  • Implement strategies and interventions to support the social and emotional development of students.
  • Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and external agencies to address specific needs.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor and assess the progress of students, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of behaviour support plans.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a similar Teaching Assistant role is advantageous.
  • Empathy and a genuine passion for supporting students with SEMH needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, students, and parents.
  • Knowledge of relevant SEMH strategies and interventions.
