Manufacturing Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at Capgemini Engineering. As a key member of our Space sector team, you will be responsible for driving forward the manufacturing process and ensuring the delivery of high-quality products.
Key Responsibilities- Work as a Manufacturing Process Engineer to support the Assembly, Integration, and Test operational team.
- Produce Technical Instructions to support the manufacturing schedule, including route cards, production defects, and rework and repair methods.
- Support quality reviews and RCAs using lean / six sigma tools, and develop lessons learnt and support PFMEA reviews to reduce non-conformance.
- Possess excellent communication skills to understand and use complex technical feedback to iterate existing manufacturing processes.
- Lean / Six Sigma experience, with the ability to lead and implement projects on own initiative with high attention to detail.
- High level of technical skills with in-depth understanding of space industry assembly, integration, and test processes.
- Experience in Manufacturing Systems and enabling software tools relevant to the industry.
- Good planning and PLM skills, with experience in Windchill, P6, IPS, 3D experience or other similar systems.
- Professionally Qualified Engineer with a degree in Engineering or significant experience following apprenticeship in aerospace / space industry.
- Experience in manufacturing engineering for electro-mechanical components, including handling and assembly of RF critical components.
- Project specific requirement: ability to work offsite (UK and abroad) for undefined periods at short notice, and work overtime and occasional shifts as and when required.
- Experience working in a shop or factory environment and leading data driven improvement projects to improve supply chains, manufacturing methods and product delivery.
- Ability to compile, analyse, interpret, and present data from various sources to steer projects across product assembly and supply chains.
- Six Sigma experience with Green Belt or Black Belt qualification.
