About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at Capgemini Engineering. As a key member of our Space Sector team, you will be responsible for developing and applying engineering practice and knowledge in the design, installation, and maintenance of mechanical systems, devices, equipment, and machines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement manufacturing processes and procedures to ensure high-quality products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Conduct quality reviews and RCA using lean/six sigma tools to improve manufacturing processes.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including technical instructions, route cards, and rework/repair methods.
  • Support the development and delivery of training material to ensure knowledge transfer and skill development.
Requirements
  • Professionally qualified engineer with a degree in engineering or significant experience in the aerospace/space industry.
  • Experience in manufacturing engineering for electro-mechanical components, including handling and assembly of RF critical components.
  • Lean/six sigma experience, with a green belt or higher certification.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work offsite (UK and abroad) for undefined periods at short notice, with flexibility to work overtime and occasional shifts.
