We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as an Economic Growth Champion - Digital Infrastructure, Creative and Media. This is an exciting opportunity to drive the delivery of the Combined Authority's strategic growth of the Digital Infrastructure, Creative and Media sector.
Key Responsibilities- Provide a strategic view of Digital growth potential across the Combined Authority, supporting the implementation and delivery of the recently commissioned Digital Strategy for the Region.
- Identify and ensure funding opportunities to support the delivery of Digital Growth in the CPCA region.
- Develop partnerships, bringing together key stakeholders and delivery organisations to support the delivery and implementation of the Combined Authority Digital Sector Strategic Action Plan.
- Develop strategic relationships with key central Government Departments to further the Combined Authority position as a leader in Digital, to also attract the relevant funding to enable delivery of interventions or programmes to support growth in the Digital sector.
- Work with the Combined Authority's Skills Team to help them define priority skills / workforce sector needs.
- Support the development of a Combined Authority Internationalisation plan across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, plus support the implementation and delivery of the Internationalisation plan as it relates to Digital sector.
- Support the development of a Combined Authority Innovation plan across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, plus support the implementation and delivery of the Innovation plan as it relates to Digital sector.
- Lead on review of the current Digital Strategy & associated Action Plan to ensure it is fit for purpose, produce a revised review that meets current and future requirements of the Combined Authority.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of the Digital sector and its growth potential, as well as excellent communication and partnership-building skills. You will also need to be able to work effectively with a range of stakeholders, including central Government Departments and local authorities.
