We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Officer to join our Water and Land Stewardship Team at the South East Rivers Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in delivering projects that improve rivers and catchments across the South East.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and develop Nature-based Solutions (NbS) project opportunities, working closely with colleagues and stakeholders to identify and deliver projects that improve river health and catchment resilience.
- Collaborate with regional water companies, farmer clusters, and other NGOs to develop blended funding approaches and deliver more nature-based solutions in our catchments.
- Contribute to the effective collation of data and evidence to inform project recommendations and identify opportunities for nature market growth.
- Develop and maintain close relationships with stakeholders, including regulators, local authorities, and other NGOs, to drive improvement of our rivers and catchments.
- Proven experience in project management, environmental conservation, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of Nature-based Solutions and their application in river and catchment management.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions to complex problems.
- A dynamic and supportive work environment with opportunities for professional growth and development.
