About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Paralegal Team Leader to join our team at Alexander Mae (Bristol) Ltd. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing and supervising a small team of Legal Administrators, ensuring effective collaboration, task performance, and professional development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Line management of up to 10 Legal Administrators, including performance management, career development, discipline, and welfare support with HR.
  • Actively manage work levels, quality, and resources to ensure efficient task completion.
  • Monitor and supervise the quality and completion of tasks, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Actively monitor Section MI, identifying patterns and trends to inform decision-making.
  • Holding regular team meetings to keep the team updated and informed.
  • Support the Operations Manager in developing talent within the team by identifying individual potential.
  • Support team members in achieving agreed objectives through delegation, coaching, mentoring, and training.
  • Support the Operations Manager with the training and induction of new starters.
  • Take ownership of knowledge management and query log, escalating any queries that require further review.
Requirements
  • Legal paralegal experience with some experience of supervising or training.
  • Good IT skills, including proficiency in Legal or banking case management systems.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to understand and apply different task processes.
  • Experience working in a paralegal role, ideally in real estate or conveyancing or a litigation department.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of up to £30,000, contributory pension, group life, private medical insurance, 25 days' holiday, and a flexible benefits scheme.

This is a 12-month fixed-term contract, working Monday to Friday, 9am-5.30pm, in Central Bristol. No car parking is available on site.
