Position Overview:
First Recruitment Group is seeking a qualified Safety Case Engineer to join our team on a contractual basis. This role involves a hybrid working model and focuses on the development and management of Safety Cases for analytical services and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Safety Case Manager (SCM) in the formulation, execution, and upkeep of Safety Cases.
  • Ensure that the safety documentation produced is comprehensible and accessible to all relevant parties.
  • Collaborate with various disciplines to create operational schedules, engineering timelines, operator guidelines, maintenance protocols, and training materials.
  • Facilitate effective communication among stakeholders during the safety case verification process.
  • Represent the SCM in presenting safety documentation to safety committees as necessary.
  • Oversee the development and finalization of Safety Case Implementation Plans (SCIPs).
  • Support the delivery of briefings to operators regarding changes in safety cases.
  • Engage with regulatory bodies and external stakeholders concerning the safety case of the associated facility.

Qualifications:
  • Proficient in interpreting safety case documentation, engineering schematics, and related materials.
  • Competent in utilizing standard IT tools and databases.
  • Able to work autonomously while adhering to high standards and compliance with legislative, regulatory, and organizational policies.
  • Demonstrated capability in line with the requirements for Safety Case Advisors.
  • Prior experience in operational, engineering, or technical roles, or in a support capacity for operational facilities.
  • Familiarity with safety case implementation processes.
  • Experience interacting with regulatory authorities.
