Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Autism Support Assistant to join our team at Remedy Education. As an Autism Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing support to pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) across EYFS, KS1, and KS2.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to pupils with ASD, promoting their social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to develop and implement tailored programs for pupils with ASD.
  • Assist in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting social interaction and communication among pupils.
  • Use creativity and imagination to design engaging activities and programs that cater to the diverse needs of pupils with ASD.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance knowledge and skills in supporting pupils with ASD.

Requirements:

  • Passion for education and creating an inspirational environment for all pupils to flourish.
  • Previous experience working with children, preferably in a special educational needs setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with pupils, teachers, and other support staff.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date with best practices in supporting pupils with ASD.
