Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Wessex Blood and Marrow and Cellular Therapy team as the Allogeneic Stem Cell Transplant Coordinator. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a regional service that provides treatments for patients requiring cellular therapies for malignant and non-malignant conditions.
About the Role:
As the Allogeneic Transplant Coordinator CNS, you will have primary responsibility for the provision of specialist nursing for people undergoing allogeneic blood and marrow transplantation. You will work closely with the transplant team to provide seamless care for patients undergoing blood and marrow transplantation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialist advice, education, and support to patients, carers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Develop and deliver transplant nursing education and have key responsibilities in relation to governance.
- Line manage the care coordinator for the pathway and have education and training responsibilities.
- Work with the transplant team to help continue with the development of the service and lead the inception of personalized care in the allogeneic pathway.
Requirements:
We are looking for a candidate with recent relevant experience of working at band 6 or above within this specialty. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
