Contract Duration: 3 to 6 months
Role Overview:
The Avaloq Tester will oversee all testing activities throughout the testing lifecycle of Avaloq solutions for key client accounts, with a particular emphasis on digital applications such as Web Banking and Mobile Banking. This role requires strong customer interaction skills, excellent presentation abilities, and the capacity to maintain composure in high-pressure project environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define the Test Policy and create a comprehensive Test Plan.
- Provide effort estimations and monitor the testing effort to ensure sufficient staffing.
- Oversee and control testing activities against the established budget and quality standards.
- Report progress to management and clients regularly.
- Maintain client relationships through effective communication.
- Manage defects and reporting processes.
- Design, update, and execute functional and business test scenarios and test cases based on both functional and non-functional requirements, ensuring their reusability.
- Manage testing environments, including baseline definition and readiness assessments.
Essential Qualifications:
- In-depth knowledge of testing concepts and methodologies.
- Experience and strong understanding of the banking and finance industry or other regulated environments.
- Functional knowledge of Web and Mobile Banking.
- Experience with the Avaloq banking system solution.
- Proficiency in MicroFocus QC/ALM, JIRA, and MS Office Suite.
Desirable Skills:
- Technical knowledge of web and mobile applications.
- Experience in testing within an Agile framework (Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, TDD, BDD, API testing).
- ISTQB Certification or equivalent qualifications.
Required Soft Skills:
- Exceptional presentation and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Structured and methodical approach to tasks.
- Team-oriented with a strong client focus.
- Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced and complex environment.
