About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer Team Lead to join our team at Atlas Copco Airpower N.V. in Clevedon. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading and directing a team of Electrical Engineers in the development and manufacture of abatement systems for the Semi-conductor industry.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and leadership to the electrical engineering team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products that meet customer requirements and industry standards.
  • Project Management: Lead and direct electrical engineering projects from concept to customer commissioning and field trials, ensuring timely delivery and within budget.
  • Team Management: Mentor and coach a growing team of Electrical Engineers, providing guidance and support to help them develop their skills and expertise.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure clarity of work packages, deliverables, and resolve engineering issues through determining the best solution.
  • Quality and Safety: Ensure the technical elements of the product system and/or subsystem design are safe and compliant with industry standards, identifying risks and control and mitigation actions.
  • Continuous Improvement: Advocate and lead the adoption of best practice electrical engineering and new technologies to improve the delivery of engineering and product development.

Requirements:

  • Chartered Engineer or working towards (desirable)
  • Significant level of experience of the practical application of best-practice product design, development and electrical engineering in a relatable engineering industry (essential)
  • Experience of leading and directing electrical engineers and teams of c.10 or more people in a project-based environment (essential)
  • An understanding of dependability management and relevant industry standards (desirable)
