About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Palliative Care Nurse to join our team at Garden House Hospice Care. As a key member of our Inpatient Unit, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality specialist palliative care to patients with life-limiting illnesses and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert care and support to patients and their families, ensuring their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs are met.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Lead and mentor junior staff, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and audits to ensure the highest standards of care.

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse with NMC Registration and a minimum of 2 years' experience in palliative care or a related field.
  • Advanced communication skills and ability to work with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Experience of leading and mentoring staff, with a strong focus on patient-centered care.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Strong understanding of relevant national policies and practice initiatives.
