Overview of the Role

Manpower UK Ltd is a prominent provider of workforce solutions, specializing in the aerospace sector. Our Yeovil facility is at the forefront of integrated supply chain operations and engineering technology, focusing on a diverse range of products, including Environmental Control Systems and Life Support Systems.

We are currently seeking skilled individuals to join our workforce, specifically for the role of CNC Grinder. This position entails the grinding of aerospace components, adhering to strict manufacturing instructions, specifications, and regulatory requirements. You will be part of a collaborative team dedicated to meeting production goals while reporting directly to the Team Lead.

Key Responsibilities:

- Execute internal and external grinding using Manual Data Input (MDI) CNC machinery, including surface and thread grinding.
- Maintain Operator Control of Quality (OCQ) by stamping to verify that assemblies meet both company and customer standards.
- Ensure timely completion of tasks to meet delivery schedules and quality standards.
- Interpret engineering drawings and follow established process layouts and documentation procedures.
- Operate effectively within a lean manufacturing environment.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

- Engineering apprenticeship is desirable but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with aerospace grinding tolerances and finishes, including internal/external diameters and micro-inch surface finishes.
- Experience in honing processes.
- Proficient in using hand measuring tools such as digital micrometers and surface finish measuring equipment.
- Strong commitment to health and safety standards.
- Ability to adhere to company processes and procedures while achieving customer-focused targets.
- Experience collaborating with designers and engineers.

Essential Skills & Attributes:

- Understanding of aerospace practices and the importance of safety-critical work.
- Proficient in computer skills.
- Demonstrated ability to adhere to health and safety standards, work collaboratively, and exhibit flexibility and initiative.
- Machining skills are a plus.
- Commitment to continuous improvement.
- Additional training will be provided, including PC skills, manual handling, and health and safety protocols.

This position is subject to meeting the eligibility conditions of export control licenses and technical assistance agreements.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS: Full BPSS Screening (Baseline Personnel Security Standard), including proof of legal right to work, criminal records check, and drug screening.
