The Education Network Newcastle is seeking to hire an Early Years Teaching Assistant to collaborate with one of our partner educational institutions. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of the Early Years curriculum and be prepared to deliver high-quality educational support.

  • Position: Early Years Teaching Assistant
  • Location: Walbottle (NE15)
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 15:30
  • Duration: Temporary until Christmas, with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent role thereafter
  • Rate of Pay: Weekly
Job Responsibilities:
As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will be instrumental in fostering the growth and education of young children in our Nursery and Reception classes. Your duties will include:
  • Supporting the class teacher in executing engaging and effective learning activities.
  • Providing individualized assistance to students who may need extra support.
  • Creating a warm and encouraging learning atmosphere.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues and parents to ensure an optimal educational experience for all students.
  • Encouraging a safe and inclusive environment for every child.
Qualifications and Skills:
To thrive in this role, you should have:
  • Experience in an Early Years educational setting
  • Relevant Early Years level 2/3 qualification
  • A compassionate and nurturing approach towards children
  • A comprehensive understanding of safeguarding protocols and child protection responsibilities
  • The ability to adapt flexibly to new learning environments
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with staff and students
  • A valid Enhanced DBS Certificate or a willingness to obtain one
