Job Description

We're seeking a skilled Supplier Relationship Manager to join our team at Legal & General. As a key member of our procurement team, you'll play a vital role in shaping our supplier relationships and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage relationships with Technology or Asset Management suppliers to ensure seamless collaboration and mutual benefit.
  • Ensure full compliance with Supplier Relationship Management policy, standards, and processes to maintain a high level of quality and efficiency.
  • Implement the Supplier Management strategy and proposition across a portfolio of Legal & General suppliers, driving commercial excellence and value.
  • Benchmark new and existing services to ensure commercial terms are appropriate and fit for purpose, identifying opportunities for improvement and cost savings.
  • Conduct regular reviews of contract service performance to ensure high standards are maintained and areas for improvement are addressed.
  • Support with contract negotiations and renewals for in-scope suppliers, ensuring timely and effective resolution of any issues.
  • Lead dispute resolution with appropriate parties to ensure all contractual disputes are fully resolved in a timely manner, maintaining a positive and collaborative relationship with suppliers.
Requirements:
  • Proven commercial experience gained from a supplier/vendor management supply chain, category management, or business development background.
  • Proficiency in SRM best practices and strategies, with a strong understanding of the latest industry trends and developments.
  • Ability to influence others with a collaborative, inclusive, and engaging style, with a practical approach to delivering successful, collaborative outcomes to support evolving business needs.
