About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our team as Clinical Team Lead for our Autism Diagnostic Service. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and support to promote high-quality client-centered care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership to the Autism Diagnostic Service team
  • Work effectively within the multidisciplinary team to provide detailed assessments and advice to aid correct diagnosis for children with autism spectrum disorders
  • Support the electronic triage process of referrals into the Autism Diagnostic Service pathway
  • Represent Paediatric SLT at strategic level as required
  • Lead on Clinical Governance initiatives and tasks as required
Requirements
  • Significant post-registration SLT experience working with children with social communication needs
  • Recent and relevant clinical experience of working with children with autism
  • Ability to establish good working relationships and provide clinical supervision
  • Team management skills and experience of working in successful multidisciplinary teams
