About the Role:

The ideal candidate will be an experienced underwriter with a strong track record of managing professional indemnity risks. They will have a deep understanding of the market and be able to develop and implement effective underwriting strategies to drive business growth.

About the Department & Team:

Liberty Specialty Markets' Professional Indemnity team is a leading provider of insurance solutions for professionals and businesses. The team has a strong reputation for delivering high-quality underwriting services and is committed to providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement underwriting strategies to drive business growth and profitability.
  • Manage a portfolio of professional indemnity risks, including assessing and pricing risks, and developing and implementing risk management plans.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, brokers, and other stakeholders to ensure excellent customer service and drive business growth.
  • Stay up-to-date with market trends and developments, and provide expert advice and guidance to clients and colleagues.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the team's business plan, including setting goals and objectives and monitoring progress.
  • Work collaboratively with other teams, including claims, actuarial, and finance, to ensure a seamless and efficient service to clients.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in underwriting professional indemnity risks, including assessing and pricing risks, and developing and implementing risk management plans.
  • Strong knowledge of the market and industry trends, including regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, brokers, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess and manage complex risks.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, and to contribute to the development and implementation of the team's business plan.
