About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Scientist to join our team at ZipRecruiter, specializing in LC-MS Assay Development. As a Senior Scientist, you will play a key role in developing clinically applicable targeted assays and working with our product development team to ensure the accuracy and reliability of our tests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop Targeted LC-MS Methods: Develop targeted LC-MS methods on a triple quadrupole mass spectrometer to accurately and robustly quantify phosphopeptide biomarkers.
  • Quality Control and Normalization: Devise strategies for normalisation and quality control to ensure tests are accurate, reproducible and reliable.
  • Regulatory Submissions: Author and/or contribute to regulatory submissions, technical protocols and reports.
  • LC-MS/MS Operation and Maintenance: Work with the Mass Spectrometry Technical Lead to ensure that LC-MS/MS systems are regularly maintained and calibrated.
Requirements
  • PhD in a Relevant Field: PhD (or equivalent experience) in a relevant or STEM based subject.
  • Experience with LC-MS/MS Systems: ≥2 years of hands-on experience running/operating high-end LC-MS/MS systems.
  • Specific Experience: Specific experience running triple quadrupole mass spectrometers and developing targeted methods.
  • Expertise in Clinical Assays: Expertise developing clinical assays utilising LC-MS/MS proteomic technologies.
  • Excellent Organisational Skills: Excellent organisational skills and time management skills.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Quality Management Systems: Experience with quality management systems and documentation.
  • Mass Spec Instrumentation: Experience in developing and validating mass spec instrumentation and methods.
  • Regulated Environment: Experience working to ISO 15189, CLIA or working in a similar regulated environment.
