The Scenic Construction Supervisor will be a key member of our team at the University of South Wales (USW) - CAPSE, responsible for overseeing the construction of sets for various productions across our institution. This role requires a skilled constructor who can work effectively with students from our Design and Stage Management departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the construction of sets for productions, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
- Collaborate with students and staff to develop and implement set designs, utilizing computer-aided design and fabrication techniques.
- Manage and maintain a safe and efficient workshop environment, adhering to health and safety protocols.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve set construction processes, increasing efficiency and reducing costs.
- Provide guidance and support to students, promoting their skills and knowledge in scenic construction.
