Production Supervisor

About the Role
The Production Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the Ostomy manufacturing department, ensuring high-quality products and efficient operations. Reporting to the Production Manager, this role will involve supervising staff, managing departmental compliance, and implementing quality control measures.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and staff the Ostomy manufacturing department to achieve quality and efficiency standards.
- Ensure all training records reflect the skill base of the workforce and address training needs.
- Implement disciplinary procedures and policies as required.
- Conduct return-to-work interviews, probation reviews, and performance appraisals for production employees.
- Meet Quality Management System requirements, including record keeping and document control.
- Maintain a robust traceability system for the Production department.
- Ensure all tooling and machinery are maintained, repaired, and refurbished to meet business needs.
Health and Safety
- Contribute to generating Risk Assessment Data for Production Department equipment and processes.
- Perform regular safety walks with operators, promoting a culture of Health and Safety.
- Ensure production staff receive comprehensive health and safety training.
- Assist in Incident Management by reporting and investigating workplace accidents.
Continuous Improvement
- Assist the Production Manager in identifying opportunities for process improvement.
- Engender a culture of cleanliness and efficiency throughout the manufacturing environment.
- Assist in achieving KPIs, including efficiencies, resourcing, quality, waste, compliance, and throughput.
Requirements
- Previous Production Supervisory experience.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Previous experience working within a QMS.
