Crane Engineer Job Description

A leading provider of lifting and equipment inspection services in the UK, Speedy Services has been providing specialist testing, inspection, maintenance, certification, and training services for the lifting services industry for many years.

As a Crane Engineer at Speedy Services, you will be responsible for conducting routine service inspections to overhead cranes and hoists, ensuring they are safe to use and meet legal obligations. You will also be required to consult with customers, record next steps, and prevent breakdowns.

You will be involved in frontline maintenance, attending to breakdowns, fault finding, retrofits, modernisations, and upgrades to customers' cranes and hoists. To be successful in this role, you will need to have a proven technical knowledge of lifting equipment and lifting machines, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to build lasting relationships with clients.

Requirements
  • NVQ3, HNC, HND, or C&G electrical engineering qualification
  • Relevant industry experience working with cranes and hoists
  • Full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points
