Job Title: College Community Support Officer

Chichester College is seeking a dedicated and compassionate College Community Support Officer to join our team. As a key member of our community, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and safety of our students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as Safeguarding Officer for assigned cases, working closely with the Safeguarding team to gather evidence and support students in need.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with students, staff, and external partners to promote a culture of safety and respect.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to identify and address potential risks and concerns, ensuring a proactive approach to safeguarding.
  • Provide guidance and support to students on safeguarding policies and procedures, promoting a culture of awareness and responsibility.
Requirements:
  • GCSE maths and English Language, or equivalent at C/4 grade or above.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with students and staff.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to meet the needs of the college.
  • Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check required.
