The successful candidate will provide management and leadership to a team of maintenance professionals, ensuring the smooth operation of automated equipment and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Management: Manage and coordinate the activities of the shift team, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Training and Development: Provide coaching, mentoring, and training to the shift team to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Carry out maintenance and servicing of all onsite automated equipment, including planned repairs and reactive repairs of automated material handling equipment.
  • Fault-Finding and Diagnosis: Identify and diagnose mechanical and/or electrical faults, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Complete all reports in line with requirements using CMMS and Microsoft software packages.
  • Leadership and Communication: Lead the shift handover meeting and support other site meetings as required, ensuring effective communication with technical and non-technical staff.

Requirements:

  • Leadership Experience: Proven experience in a leadership position in automation, with a strong track record of team management and development.
  • Engineering Qualification: Relevant engineering qualification, such as a degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
  • Continuous Improvement: A continuous improvement mindset, with a focus on process optimization and efficiency.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with technical and non-technical staff.
