Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HGV Driver to join our team at Enva. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the safe collection and transportation of waste materials from customers' premises to our recycling sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Waste Collection and Transportation: Safely collect and transport waste materials from customers' premises to our recycling sites, adhering to all relevant legislation and company procedures.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate HGV vehicles in a safe and efficient manner, performing regular safety checks and reporting any faults or issues to the relevant departments.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, ensuring that waste is stored correctly in approved containers and acting as the point of contact for customers while on site.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to ADR Regulations regarding the carriage of dangerous goods and comply with all legal requirements and company policies while operating a company vehicle.
  • Reporting and Communication: Report any near misses, security, and/or safety issues to the relevant departments and communicate any additional customer requirements to the line manager.
Requirements
  • Experience and Knowledge: Experience and knowledge of EU & WTD Tachograph Regulations, good geographical knowledge of mainland UK, and a good understanding of Operator Licence obligations and regulations.
  • Skills and Abilities: Good communication skills, ability to handle complaints effectively, and a proactive and safety-focused approach.
  • Desirable Qualifications: Experience working within the waste industry, ADR certification, and a good understanding of Highway Code and 'Hierarchy of Road Users'.
