Job SummaryThis is an entry-level position that will provide an excellent foundation in the world of specialty insurance. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a range of insurance products and develop their problem-solving and mathematical skills.
Key Responsibilities- Policy Binding: Assist with the end-to-end process of binding insurance policies, including data entry and documentation management.
- Query Resolution: Work through queries and longer-term projects to improve the quality of reported data.
- Cash Allocation: Work closely with the finance team to allocate and reconcile premium payments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Process Design and Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and propose innovative solutions to streamline processes.
- Collaborative Support: Provide support to various teams within the operations department, assisting with administrative tasks and participating in cross-functional projects as required.
Your working day will be spent mainly in Microsoft Excel, reviewing, preparing, and reporting data to various teams. Each day, you will perform standard tasks related to review, entry, and reports. Once complete, longer-term projects around data cleansing, portfolio management, and query solving will be assigned to you.
Training and DevelopmentYou will receive on-the-job training, training sessions, and portal lessons to develop your skills and knowledge. Successful candidates will demonstrate an ability to apply their learning to new scenarios and varied examples.
LocationPine Walk Capital Limited is part of the wider Fidelis Group, with offices across London, Ireland, and Bermuda. This role will be based in the Croydon office, a short walk from East and West Croydon stations.
Essential Skills and Experience- Strong problem-solving skills and confidence with data analysis.
- Strong written and spoken communication skills to enable communication at all levels.
- Ability to handle a varied workload and competing priorities.
- Organized approach to work, dealing with a large volume of individual tasks.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Comfortable working with sales ledger and administration systems.
