About the Role

The Oak Foundation is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Programme Associate to support the Housing and Homelessness Programme. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of housing and homelessness issues, excellent research and analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Main Responsibilities
  • Grant Management: Manage the grant-making project management system, monitor the grant-making budget, and oversee the regular analysis of our grant-making portfolio.
  • Research and Analysis: Conduct research on housing issues, potential new partners, and policy issues, and summarize external reports for the benefit of the programme team and our grant-making portfolio.
  • Communications: Contribute to the design, implementation, and regular review of the programme strategy, and develop and implement a communications plan to engage with grantee partners and stakeholders.
  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the programme director, including managing their diary, organizing events, and performing reception duties.
  • IT Support: Manage the programme's IT infrastructure, including SharePoint, Teams, and the grant-making database.
  • Other Responsibilities: Perform a range of administrative tasks, including processing invoices, managing publication subscriptions, and setting up the office for newcomers.
Requirements
  • Education: University degree preferred but not essential.
  • Experience: 3-5 years' demonstrable experience of working for a not-for-profit organization or development organization, ideally in a housing and homelessness policy and research role.
  • Skills: Highly organized and able to juggle a wide range of responsibilities, excellent oral and written communication skills, and experience of using social media for research and communications.
  • Other: Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team, openness and capacity to learn quickly, and a commitment to Oak's organizational values.
