Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Merchandiser to join our team. As a Senior Merchandiser, you will play a critical role in ensuring that the right products are bought for our customers in line with our company strategy and objectives. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining the merchandise plan, working closely with the design team to plan product ranges, and analyzing sales data to identify trends and adjust stock levels accordingly.

Key Responsibilities
  • Merchandise Planning: Develop and maintain the merchandise plan, ensuring that it aligns with company objectives and financial targets.
  • Product Range Planning: Work with the design team to plan product ranges, taking into account customer demand, pricing, and margin requirements.
  • Sales Data Analysis: Analyze sales data to identify trends and adjust stock levels accordingly.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and make recommendations for stock replenishment and markdowns.
  • Product Risk Management: Ensure that best sellers reach their full potential and any product risks are identified and managed in a timely manner.
  • Demand Forecasting: Forecast demand and place rebuys based on lead times and MOQs.
  • Budget Management: Manage budgets for new product launches and rebuys to drive success.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build relationships with key stakeholders in the business across supply chain, product, and e-commerce. Work cross-functionally to meet business needs.
  • Supplier Management: Manage supplier relationships and negotiate pricing and terms.
  • Stock Control: Control stock levels based on weekly sales and stock intakes.
  • Trade Reporting: Prepare trade reports and present to key stakeholders, driving out clear weekly trade actions for the team.
  • Weekly Trading Performance: Review weekly trading performance and KPIs, identifying issues and presenting to the Head of Merchandising and CCO.
  • Team Management: Day-to-day management of the MAA, AM, and JM to ensure their workload is prioritized correctly with the current needs of the business.
  • Product Exit Strategy: Own the exit strategy of product lines, signing off with the Head of Merchandising and CCO.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in merchandising, maths, business, or a related field.
  • Experience: Experience as a Senior Merchandiser in a fast-growing e-commerce business.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously, ability to set up and maintain reports in Excel.
