Job Title: Employer Engagement Lead

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Employer Engagement Lead to join our team at University College Birmingham. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in building and maintaining relationships with local businesses and employers to enhance our students' employability and career prospects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to engage with local businesses and employers to promote our students' skills and employability.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including business leaders, HR managers, and recruitment teams.
  • Collaborate with academic staff to develop and deliver employability-focused curriculum and extracurricular activities.
  • Provide guidance and support to students on career development, job search strategies, and interview preparation.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of our employer engagement activities and make recommendations for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in employer engagement, business development, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours.
  • Knowledge of the local business community and employment market.
