Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to join our Naval Ships team as an Industrial Placement Naval Ships Warship Engineer. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for working on the Type 26 Frigate Project as part of the Signatures team. Your primary focus will be on undertaking measurement trials on-board ship during Harbour Trials to provide assurance to the Ministry of Defence that the ship will be the quietest anti-submarine warship in the world.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interact with stakeholders to facilitate testing and ensure successful project delivery.
  • Undertake vibration and airborne noise measurements on-board ships to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct trials analysis, generate test forms, and produce reports to document project progress.
  • Undertake whole ship impact assessments using mathematical prediction modeling to inform design and development decisions.
  • Present results and reports to the Ministry of Defence to ensure transparency and accountability.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must be on track to obtain a 2.2 in your Bachelor's or Master's degree in a Science or Engineering subject. You must also be returning to university to complete your degree.
