Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Head of HSQE to join our team at Hawk 3 Talent Solutions. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for driving a safety culture across the business, ensuring the highest safety standards are implemented and adhered to across all aspects of our activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership and drive synergies across the business in Health, Safety, and Quality performance.
  • Develop and implement effective safety and quality management systems.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Lead internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.

Requirements:

  • BTEC/HNC (or equivalent) in a related discipline.
  • IOSH Managing Safely certification.
  • NEBOSH National General Certificate or above.
  • Formal internal auditor qualifications.
  • Full knowledge of ISO Occupational Health and Safety Management, ISO 9001 (Quality Systems), and ISO Environmental Systems.
  • Significant experience and knowledge of Quality Management.
  • Detailed knowledge of risk assessment and management.
  • Experience and expertise in APQP / PPAP / PSW processes.
  • Experience and knowledge of Change Management.
  • Experience of IATF 16949 and ISO 14001, ISO 45001 auditing.
  • Background in operations, with extensive HSQ responsibilities.
  • Experience of multi-site, multi-discipline organizations.
  • Strong knowledge of QoS / KPIs / PPM.
  • Strong understanding of D/P FMEA, Control plans, SCs.
  • Experience of dealing with customers face-to-face.
  • Experience of chairing internal & external meetings.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Knowledge and experience of UK manufacturing industry.

Desirable:

Degree qualification in a related discipline.Flexible approach to work patterns.Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.Expertise in Lean methodology.Knowledge of Kaizen.Understanding of 6 Sigma (Black belt).Experience of working within the automotive Industry or supply chain.Working experience of HSQ systems management.Understanding and experience of 'Train the trainer'.Experience of mentoring auditors.
