Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Acute Adult Team at Leeds Teaching Hospitals. As a Specialist Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality occupational therapy services to patients with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and treat patients with a range of conditions, including acute and respiratory medicine, infectious diseases, and oncology.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to optimize functional ability and promote independence.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care and effective discharge planning.
  • Supervise and support junior staff and students to ensure high-quality care and professional development.
  • Participate in service developments, innovations, and audit to improve patient outcomes and service delivery.
Requirements
  • Degree in Occupational Therapy and registration with the Health Professions Council.
  • Post-qualification experience as an Occupational Therapist, preferably in a physical setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time, and work under pressure.
  • Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to evidence-based practice.
