Pay rate: Up to £20.77 per hour

Location: Nuclear Generation Site

Hours of work: 37 hours per week, 5 days

Our client, a leading Nuclear Generation company, requires a Procurement Specialist to join their team at their site in the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Specifying and evaluating nuclear power station spares against original design and maintaining the Spares catalogue
  • Developing procurement specifications, in conjunction with Technical Specialists and Purchasers
  • Maintaining compliance with all required standards and arrangements applicable to the specification of plant spares
  • Completing Item equivalency assessments to support changes to components
  • Assisting in investigations to find spare part solutions, including parts searches and obsolescence resolution
  • Carrying out Quality Assurance reviews prior to purchase of QA1/2 Spares, including development/reviewing of Quality plans
  • Carrying out Quality Control inspections on key goods being supplied
  • Advising the wider Purchasing and Warehouse teams to support smooth operation of the Supply Chain Materials processes

Requirements:

  • Experience within a Procurement role
  • Strong working knowledge of technical & quality assurance arrangements standards applicable to the procurement of spare parts
  • HNC level in an engineering discipline
