Start Up Section Lead Role

We are seeking an experienced Start Up Section Lead to join our Programme and Project Partners (PPP) team at Sellafield. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a multi-disciplinary team of Commissioning and Pre-Operations Engineers and Leads to ensure activities are delivered in line with established processes.

You will be responsible for collating and reporting on progress, identifying and escalating risks, and ensuring that appropriate structure and arrangements are in place to facilitate delivery. You will also collaborate regularly with other teams in your project and represent Start Up, Commissioning and Pre-Operations to external vendors and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a multi-disciplinary team of Commissioning and Pre-Operations Engineers and Leads
  • Collate and report on progress and identify and escalate risks
  • Ensure appropriate structure and arrangements are in place to facilitate delivery
  • Represent Start Up, Commissioning and Pre-Operations to external vendors and stakeholders
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have an HNC or equivalent Level 4 qualification in a relevant discipline, as well as experience in managing a multi-disciplined engineering team delivering technical packages with demonstrable evidence of success against agreed project schedules.

You will also need to have excellent communication skills, as you will be seen as a key point of contact within the project. Experience of working in Nuclear or a highly regulated environment is desirable, but not essential.
