Position Overview

Equifind is collaborating with a prominent private equity real estate investor managing assets worth 90 billion in their quest for an Investment Fund Financial Manager.

This organization specializes in logistics, light industrial, and urban regeneration investments across various global markets, having experienced a remarkable tenfold increase in assets under management over the past decade.

The primary objective of this position is to assist the local CFO in overseeing the financial and operational aspects of the fund. This includes leading a dedicated team of Fund Accountants and nurturing relationships with external advisors, such as fund administrators, legal consultants, brokers, and local financial experts.

The ideal candidate will be proactive in every transaction, representing the finance department, and will possess exceptional business partnership capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Examine quarterly management accounts and annual IFRS financial statements prepared by Fund Administrators.
  • Coordinate the annual audit process and address audit inquiries in collaboration with the Fund Administrator.
  • Develop and maintain daily interactions with outsourced service providers, including but not limited to Fund Administrators, VAT Specialists, Depositary, and Auditors.
  • Prepare and oversee capital calls and distributions in conjunction with the Fund Administrators.
  • Assist in the development of fund modeling in line with Model Risk policy.
  • Coordinate and review quarterly VAT returns and annual tax submissions with Fund Administrators and VAT Specialists.
  • Establish and enhance a robust risk and internal control framework.
  • Prepare and continuously improve risk monitoring and reporting, including conducting and reporting on periodic stress tests in collaboration with the Risk Manager.
  • Engage with Portfolio Managers, Investment and Asset Management, Risk, and Compliance teams as required.

Qualifications:

  • A recognized accounting qualification (ACA or ACCA preferred).
  • A minimum of five years of experience in a fund finance role, preferably within the real estate or real assets sector.
  • Comprehensive understanding of financial accounting principles, regulations, and standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).
  • Strong analytical abilities to interpret complex financial information and derive actionable insights.
  • Proficient in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting methodologies.
  • Experience in managing internal controls, risk evaluation, and compliance functions.
