Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at GSL Education. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing individualized support to students with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with teachers and SENCOs to develop and implement personalized learning plans for students with SEN.
  • Provide one-on-one support to students during lessons and activities, adapting to their individual needs and learning styles.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, promoting their well-being and engagement in the learning process.
  • Assist in the implementation of behavior management strategies tailored to the student's needs, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and other professionals to ensure a holistic support system for students.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, preferably in providing 1:1 support to students with SEN.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Patience, adaptability, and a genuine passion for supporting individual student success.
  • Initiative and a willingness to collaborate with the teaching team to ensure student needs are met.
