About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Recovery Support Worker to join our team at Beach House, a service providing high support housing to individuals with enduring mental health backgrounds.

As a Recovery Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting service users to achieve their recovery goals and improve their quality of life. You will work closely with the service users, their families, and other professionals to develop and implement personalized support plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide recovery-focused support to service users, including administering medication, daily record keeping, and incident report writing.
  • Run group activities and help with inducting new staff members.
  • Uphold the cleanliness of the service to adhere to infection prevention control measures.
  • Work in a flexible manner on a roster basis, including office hours, evenings, some weekends, and sleep-ins.
Requirements

We are looking for a compassionate, proactive, and professional individual who is highly motivated, hardworking, and keen to support service users with mental health and complex care needs. Previous experience in the mental health sector is desirable but not essential.

You will have well-honed skills in positive communication, engagement, and the ability to demonstrate unconditional positive regard for service users. You will also have the maturity to work within a positive framework supporting clients.
