About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Community Link Volunteer, supporting our mission to extend our reach and build strong community links.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in events and engage with community groups to raise awareness of dementia and our services.
- Identify individuals affected by dementia who can share their story with their community and with us.
- Signpost people to access our services and provide support.
- Utilize language skills, particularly in South Asian languages, to effectively communicate with diverse communities.
- Collaborate with the Community Development Coordinator to build relationships with local communities.
Requirements:
- Experience in community outreach or engagement.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to commit up to 6 hours per week.
